At Stone UK, we believe innovation should enhance heritage, not replace it.
That’s why we’re introducing a new-format to our Yorkstone Paving & Setts – carefully developed to meet the evolving demands of today’s construction, landscaping, and design sectors.
Our Abbeystead, Bronte, Fairfield and Reclaimed stone can now be crafted in refined profiles available in 20mm, 30mm, and 40mm. This new format retains the timeless beauty and durability of traditional Yorkstone while unlocking new benefits across sustainability, installation, and project flexibility.

Why It Matters:
- Sustainable by Design – More surface area from each block means less raw material per square metre — extending the life of British quarry reserves, reducing waste, and lowering overall impact. A more efficient way to honour our natural resources.
- Lighter Load, Lower Carbon – With significantly reduced weight per unit, emissions from extraction, processing, and transport are all cut dramatically. Fewer deliveries. Less fuel. More progress.
- Simpler, Safer Installation – Easier to handle, cut, and fix — especially in domestic, interior, or self-build projects. Ideal in a world facing labour shortages and rising safety standards.
- Precision from Reclaimed Stone – Reclaimed Yorkstone often comes in uneven depths (typically 63–75mm), making installation laborious and inconsistent. Our new-format approach allows us to reprocess and calibrate salvaged stone into a uniform profile — making laying faster, flatter, and far more efficient.
- A Responsible Alternative to Imports – This new format offers a credible, high-performance alternative to imported stone — supporting British jobs, lowering carbon miles, and aligning with ESG procurement goals.
- Built for Reuse – Where possible, we repurpose reclaimed Yorkstone into new-format products — preserving history while meeting modern standards.
All formats of our Yorkstone paving share the same authentic appearance with rich texture, natural variation, and timeless British character – regardless of thickness. While traditional thick slabs like 63 mm and 75 mm are ideal for exterior and heavy-duty use, they aren’t always necessary, especially for interior spaces or light-traffic areas. Thinner options such as 20 mm to 40 mm offer the same exact look but are far easier to handle, quicker to install, and more efficient to transport.
