Canterbury University

This distinctive project centred on the use of sawn Yorkstone setts to create an intricate labyrinth garden. Thousands of individually placed setts were installed with precision to form the detailed pathways, resulting in a clean, structured design with strong visual impact.

The layout was carefully aligned to frame views toward Canterbury Cathedral, adding a considered architectural dimension to the garden’s overall composition. At the centre, two Yorkstone benches featuring hand-carved labyrinth motifs provide a focal point and a place for visitors to pause and appreciate the setting.

The project demonstrates the value of accuracy, craftsmanship, and thoughtful planning in landscape design, resulting in a space that is both functional and visually striking.
